Frequently Asked Questions
Will the water be warm enough for my dog?
Yes. The Mini turns cold tap water into a comfortably warm rinse, up to 30°C, in about 3–4 seconds. It's designed to be warm, not hot. For warmer water, turn the tap down a little. The slower the flow, the warmer it gets, which matters most on cold winter days.
Should I get the Mini or the Shower Pro 7kW?
Choose the Mini if you want plug-in-and-go warm water for regular dog washes, with no electrician needed. Choose the Shower Pro if you're washing big or very muddy dogs or horses and want hotter water at a stronger flow. The Pro is hardwired by an electrician.
What do I need to use it?
Just a cold water tap and a plug socket. The Mini connects between your tap and your hose, and the hose connectors come in the box. There's nothing to install and no plumbing, so it works at home, at the yard or on a campsite.
Is it safe to use outside?
Yes. The unit is IPX4 splash-proof, so it can handle a wet wash. Keep the plug and socket dry and under cover. For extra peace of mind, plug into an RCD-protected outdoor socket.
How much does it cost to run?
Pennies per wash. The Mini is 3kW and only uses power while warm water is flowing, so a typical 10-minute dog wash costs around 12–15p at standard UK electricity rates.

Muddy pups no more using our petjet mini to wash the dogs off has been a lifesaver - its perfect for those muddy walks and muddy paws
I've finally got around to installimg the Jet Pet shower due to waiting for my farden to be completed. The shower itself works great, although my two dogs might dispute that as despite being Labradors they were not tgat enthusiastic. The only issues I have had was the long delivery time and the slow communication. It took approx 4 weeks to arrive and despite numerous emails, the replies were not the quickest. I think if they stated delivery is 4-6 weeks people would at least understand that. I cannot fault the item itself, it is very well made, heats up nicely and looks smart. Worth the wait in the end.

It’s great and very good water pressure. It does get warm but I am struggling to get it there sometimes think it’s more bc I didn’t read the manual on everything. I just keep pressing the up button and hope for the best. I use it to shower our dogs right now in the summer they are happy with cold. The water pressure on this is better then my own home shower

This is only the mini pet jet but it was fine for a quick dog wash! We had to run the cold water quite slowly to keep the heater at the right temperature as otherwise it kept going cold. But the slower speed warm water was still sufficient to wash our dog. It was much easier than trying to get her into the bath and use the shower.
So far all good. Very easy to fit. I may have to switch to a brush for winter mud. My Border Collie gets filthy on a muddy lawn when we go to feed the hens. We will learn how we go.
It works wonderfully and so easy! Only downside is the hose connectors are a little smaller than my water spigot and hoses
Installed Petjet into a box with a separate fused switch to aid security. You do need to use the flow adjusting attachment to reduce the pressure going into the unit to achieve 32+ Degrees. However the included shower head means that the washing pressure is OK. Worth then getting the full kit. Just a shame that after I bought it I see it's gone on sale - £50 less. You live and learn. I'm sure this will prove very useful.

took a chance and it kinda paid off! I was looking at these for quite a while, looked to good to be true, ponyjet have a 30 day money back so i thought why not. Turns out it's quite smart. took abit of time to adjust the water pressure and set up the connections but now i've got it working and it's a dream, use all the time after bringing in from the fields essential for winter coming up
saw this all over facebook and ig, my friend got one and thought it was fab so i decided to. at first i was abit warey how it would work with my yard set up and with it being such a small unit but it works wonders. makes lfie so much easier and the horses are alot happier. grooms are happy with it too. recommend for any yard between 1-5 horses 100%
my overall honest opinion: it took a while to arrive but i understand its a brand new prodcut and i did pre order. It's arrived now and was dispatched within a day with royal mial to be fair to them. the unit is very well built and sturdy. and works well. was easy to connect. manual was helpful. If you have super high water pressure i dont recommend it. but having the washer gun product with it to control the pressure worked a treat. or just lower the water flow from the tap. for a small unit im very impressed and now have warm baths for my horses, love the look of their bags and tack wipes, sprays etc so might be coming back. Recommend overall.

Best shower ever.
this is a great device. its made washing our pony much easier. this is a tedious job at times and this meant 2 horses washed thoroughly in half an hour. loved it, the shampoo bit does fill with water but this doesn't seem to effect its performance.
Absolutely lifesaver! Especially for a horse that won’t stand still. Will admit I did think it was too good to be true when I ordered. Such a great product and also has a rinse switch for when you need to stop shampooing, which I didn’t know about.

My Palomino was filthy with dirt and loose hair. The power of the Ponyjet blew the filth right off him. Very happy with this product for the price. Hopefully the longevity will be great too!

I Love the mini shower. My very fidgety mare usually hates having a bath. She thought she was on a spa day, using the massage shower head and warm water. The massage mits were also used and she throughly enjoyed the experience. It made washing a pleasurable experience rather than a painful experience. I also used it to wash my 2 Jack russells and is so much easier being outside. Easy to install, basically plug in and go. I love it. Thank you

Would recommend the pony jet as it’s easy to use and nice to give the dogs a shower in warm water. Lost a couple of stars for the poor delivery and having to buy new connectors
Sorted out the installation OK. ONLY issue the unit was supplied with EU Plug which I removed and fitted a UK Plug. There was an issue with the heater unit was not supplied at the same time as the hose and shower heads. It had to be requested then was supplied. Not great customer service !

Best bit of kit ever. With 7 dogs that love mud and are always on the go it’s a must have. Dogs are clean in minutes without fuss or objection and are easier to dry off
It is a 3kw shower capable of being plugged into a normal socket switch without blowing any fuses or tripping switches in the fuse box. Because it is a 3kw shower unit, the water supply to and through it must literally be a trickle or fine mist otherwise the water doesn't heat up. Better than nothing but not what I expected. A portable camping shower or even running a mixer hose from my two kitchen taps would have been a better solution.
